Probabilities

BY: MAHAM JAWAID AHMED, M.B.B.S., BATCH XXI

In the darkness
The absence of light shrieks
Entangling the unknowing
And the eyes flood
With despair and frustration
For what we once thought
Never came to fruition
For you and I
Are not going to be
What we once thought
And in my foolish desire
The rays of hope shine
Upon things which best remain hidden
Until it eats away
The probabilities
That never stood a chance
Against the odds
