Dear Mom

BY: ARFA MASIHUDDIN, M.B.B.S., BATCH XX

for all those years and many more to come,

you have been the strength of love, the miracle of kindness

for all those years and many more to come,

you have been the rain of wisdom, the corsage of sincerity

the mirror is glistening with your reflection

and a little deep down, my heart thuds

with the grace of having you as my mother

spoken words bind us no more,

you lean on me, I on you

and together, we define the inexplicable beauty

in the dance of the friendship between

a mother and her child
