In the end, we’re all only humans
Made of clay
Just clay figures
Brimming with emotions

Prone to mistakes
Prone to failure
Prone to falling down
And then getting right back up

Caught up in our lives
Trying to defy the sands of time
So caught up in the hustle
Specificity forgotten

Oh so strong on the outside
So very fragile from the inside
Some hanging by a thread
Some falling from the edge

Every day is a struggle
Every day is a blessing
And we’re just clay figures
Trying to do things right

About the author: Nimrah is a final year medical student who loves writing poems whenever she can. In her free, time she likes taking pictures of sunsets and streets. Her biggest inspiration for poetry is Sarah Kay.
